The Frenchman Bay Atlas

The Frenchman Bay Atlas was developed as a tool to assist the Frenchman Bay Partners with planning for the future of Frenchman Bay. A variety of partners contributed ideas for types of maps and provided feedback on map design.

College of the Atlantic took a lead role in map production and has published the Frenchman Bay Atlas as a resource for everyone interested in Frenchman Bay (PDF version here). More information about the Frenchman Bay Atlas can be found on the COA website.

In addition to the Frenchman Bay Atlas, there is access to an interactive mapping program based at College of the Atlantic’s Geographic Information Systems (COAGIS) laboratory. This website allows the user to choose data layers to produce their own customized maps, and the metadata for any feature on the map can be obtained by clicking on that feature. The mapping program is available to the public on the COA GIS webpage.
