Planning and Facilitating Collaborative Meetings

Harness the Power of the Solstice to Improve the Impact of Your Work on the Coast of Maine! The Wells National Estuarine Research Reserve, the Schoodic Institute at Acadia National Park and the Maine Coastal Program are partnering to bring this two-day NOAA training to the coast of Maine. Learn how to plan and facilitate collaborative meetings that get results for coastal communities and the natural environments that support them. Participants working at every level to effectively engage stakeholders in their work will benefit from this training. FMI visit this link.

During this workshop, you will become a better facilitator by learning how to:

Determine if a collaborative process is appropriate

Select people with the skill sets needed to fill each meeting role

Use appropriate process tools and techniques to address meeting objectives

Enhance facilitation skills with practice using simple tools

Manage conflict in meetings through a greater understanding of group dynamics

Identify disruptive behaviors in group processes and practice strategies to deal with them
